Odor means bacteria buildup. If your veneers smell bad, you're not cleaning them well enough or often enough. Give them a thorough clean with soap and a soft brush, then soak them in appliance cleaning tablets overnight. Make sure you're also cleaning your natural teeth properly before putting the veneers back in. If the smell persists after deep cleaning, there might be trapped buildup in small crevices. For light surface stains, soak your veneers in appliance cleaning tablets for a few hours or overnight. For more stubborn stains, you can use a denture cleaner specifically designed to remove stains. Don't use bleach, harsh chemicals, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the material. If stains won't come out, it might be time to order a replacement set. Regular cleaning and avoiding staining foods/drinks helps prevent this.
You can, but there's not much point. If you accidentally get hot water on them, they could warp. They might also become slippery and harder to handle when wet, increasing the risk of dropping and breaking them. It's safer and easier to just take them out before showering or bathing. Keep them in their protective case while you wash up.
